Rhino Site Systems achieves BM TRADA Q-Mark accreditation

Last month, a Rhino Site Systems employee secured BM TRADA Q-Mark accreditation in recognition of the firm’s commitment to correctly installing and maintaining fire doors in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s guidelines.

BM TRADA, which is part of the Element Group, works with organisations across a range of different industries to certify that materials, products and processes are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

As a widely recognised sign of achievement, Q-Mark accreditation is a quality mark for products, service and personnel, and supports organisations and their employees to demonstrate their dedication to upholding professional standards.

As a specialist door installation firm, receipt of this accreditation is particularly important, given the introduction of the new Building Safety Act and Fire Safety (England) Regulations, which bring with them new requirements for fire doors in both commercial and residential settings.

Under the new legislation, fire safety will take greater precedence within developments to ensure the safety of occupants and to increase building standards.

“Having a Q-Mark certified individual as part of the team is incredibly valuable to our business, allowing us to train our workforce in line with BM TRADA guidelines and ensure that the doors we work with are installed and maintained correctly,” said Paul Andrews, Managing Director at Rhino Site Systems.

“There is a legal requirement for manufacturers of fire doors to demonstrate the ability of their products to resist the passage and spread of fire. However, if they are not either properly installed or maintained, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised.

“This accreditation provides another layer of assurance to our client base that the products they choose have been either installed or maintained correctly and that they should perform as intended.”

Rhino Site Systems is committed to continually raising the standard of its installation and maintenance services, ensuring all products’ fire resistance capabilities are maintained and that their service life is maximised through adhering to industry best practice.

Ongoing assessment by an independent body provides end-users with peace of mind that Rhino Site Systems’ team is suitably qualified and that its work meets the required standard.
